Local SEO
services

When someone searches “plumber near me” or “solicitor in Leeds”, Google shows three businesses on a map before any normal results. Local SEO is the work of getting you into those three spots, and keeping you there.

What we
do

Google ranks local results on three things: relevance, distance and prominence. We can’t move your office, so we work hard on the other two.

( 01 )

Google Business Profile

The right primary and secondary categories, services, products, photos, opening hours and regular posts. Category choice alone often decides who appears.

( 02 )

Reviews

A simple system for asking every customer for a review, plus replies that read like a person wrote them.

( 03 )

Citations and NAP

Your name, address and phone number kept identical across directories such as Yell, Thomson Local, Bing Places and Apple Business Connect.

( 04 )

Location pages

One genuinely useful page per area you serve, with real local detail, not the same text with the town name swapped.

( The rules we play by )

Local SEO has more grey-hat shortcuts than any other part of search. We don’t use them, for good reasons:

  • No fake reviews, ever. Since April 2025 the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 makes buying or publishing fake reviews unlawful in the UK, and the CMA can fine businesses directly.
  • No review gating. Asking only happy customers for reviews breaks Google’s policies. We ask everyone, and help you handle the occasional bad one well.
  • No virtual offices. Listing a mailbox or a co-working desk you don’t staff can get a profile suspended. If you serve customers at their address, we set you up as a service-area business instead.
  • No keyword-stuffed names. “Smith & Co Emergency Plumber Manchester Cheap” works for a few weeks, then gets reported and reset.
( When it’s not the right fit )

If you sell online to the whole UK and customers never visit you or book a local visit, map pack rankings matter much less. E-commerce SEO or content will usually pay back faster.

Local SEO
questions

Can I rank in towns where I don’t have an office?

In normal search results, yes, with good location pages. In the map pack it’s much harder, because distance from the searcher is a strong factor. We’ll be honest about which towns are realistic.

My Google Business Profile was suspended. Can you help?

Usually. We find the likely cause, fix it, then submit a reinstatement request with the evidence Google asks for, such as signage photos or utility bills.

How quickly does local SEO work?

Profile and category fixes can move map rankings within a few weeks. Reviews and citations build steadily over three to six months.
