E-commerce
SEO services
On most online shops, category pages earn more search traffic than every product page combined. They’re also the pages most stores neglect. That’s usually where we start.
What we
work on
Category architecture
Collections and categories built around how people search (“men’s waterproof walking boots”), not just how your stock room is organised.
Faceted navigation
Filters for size, colour and price can create thousands of near-duplicate URLs. We decide which filter pages deserve to rank and keep the rest out of Google’s way.
Product pages
Unique descriptions instead of the manufacturer’s copy, Product schema with price and stock, and reviews that show in results.
Out-of-stock handling
Keep pages live for products coming back, redirect discontinued lines to the closest category, and never send shoppers to a dead end.
Free Shopping listings
A clean Google Merchant Center feed so your products appear in the Shopping tab without paying for every click.
Every platform has its own quirks, and generic advice misses them:
| Platform | The usual problem |
|---|---|
| Shopify | Products reachable at both /products/ and /collections/…/products/ URLs, a fixed URL structure, and app bloat slowing pages down. |
| WooCommerce | Thin tag and attribute archives indexed by default, plus plugin conflicts that hurt speed. |
| Magento | Layered navigation generating huge numbers of crawlable filter URLs on large catalogues. |
We’ll work within your platform’s limits, and tell you plainly when a limit is costing you money.
If your catalogue is tiny, say under 20 products, and you’re competing with Amazon and the big high-street names on the same phrases, SEO alone may not be the best spend. Niche content, digital PR or paid shopping ads might get you further. The audit will show which.
Store
questions
Can you work on a store with thousands of products?
Yes. On large catalogues we work at template level, so one change improves every product or category page at once, and we prioritise the sections that drive most of your revenue.
Should I write unique descriptions for every product?
For your best sellers and high-margin lines, yes. For the long tail, improving the template and category pages usually gives a better return.
Are you replatforming-safe?
If you’re moving platforms, we’ll build the redirect map and run pre-launch checks. It’s the riskiest moment for any store’s search traffic.
